Mr. Kidd chose
to practice in the area of family law because of his desire to help
people who are going through a difficult period of their lives.
Divorce is an emotional and trying time. His goal is to protect
the client’s interests and get through the divorce process
as efficiently and painlessly as possible, while protecting children
from the turmoil of divorce. In contested cases, the firm prepares
for trial, yet encourages clients to settle when possible.
Mr. Kidd has been trained and is
a recognized “collaborative divorce” attorney. Collaborative
divorce is a relatively new process, which seeks to avoid the adversarial
nature of traditional divorce practice. However, both parties must
agree to utilize this process, otherwise, the case will proceed
in the traditional manner. To learn more about collaborative divorce,

Mr. Kidd also
represents the interests of children in contested custody cases,
when he appointed by the court as a Guardian ad Litem. When serving
in that capacity, he investigates and makes recommendations to the
court regarding custody and visitation. He also serves as a certified
Mediator and Case Evaluator for the Cobb County Superior Court.
